basketball   Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team for beating Vincent Massey in their conference 3rd place game. Brianna Hayward hit a huge 3 to put us up 3 with 15 sec left to go. This was a full team victory with the added help of the BEST FANS IN THE CITY!!!! Thanks to all the fans that came out to the game and created such a fun atmosphere to play in.  provncials take place next weekend.

Selfie contest for $25 iTunes gift card  Take a selfie with your friends or staff and upload it to the ReplayIt site by March 12. Directions on logging into ReplayIt are posted around the school on posters called "Share Your Best". Multiple entries are permitted. The yearbook committee will award $25 iTunes gift card to the most creative selfie uploaded to ReplayIt by the deadline.

Manitoba Construction Career Expo   All students (Grades 9 - 12) who are interested in a career in the trades are welcome to come to the Manitoba Construction Career Expo. You will get hands-on experience in masonry, carpentry, roofing, concrete finishing, electrical wiring and painting among other demonstrations.  This is a great chance for students to interact with skilled journey people and learn about MB's construction industry from leading construction companies. This is a great opportunity to make connections if you want to be an apprentice!!   Spots are limited, so please sign up with Ms. Bennett by Thursday, Mar 12.

westjet raffle   Our safe grad parent committee is presenting a unique fundraising opportunity for all Westwood students and families. You can purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win 2 return trip tickets on any WestJet regularLY scheduled destination. These raffle tickets will be available to purchase by anyone 18yrs or older in front of the office from 3:30pm to 4pm until March 12. They will also be available at the Event on Saturday, March 14th until the end of intermission, when the draw will be made. Raffle tickets will be sold as 1 for $20 or 3 for $50. ChequeS can be made PAYABLE to "Westwood Safe Grad". There are only 400 tickets printed, so get your tickets QUICKLY!
